'''Hollywood''' is the name of the SoC inside of the [[Wii]].  It was based on the [[Flipper]] SoC.  The Hollywood SoC contains multiple pieces of hardware all lumped into one.  [[Nintendo]] claims that the Hollywood package is the [[Hardware/GX|Wii's GPU]], however, this is not the case.  Hollywood ''contains'' the GPU, but it is not, itself, the GPU.

The Hollywood SoC runs at 243MHz (162MHz in Back-Compat mode).  The various hardware blocks inside run at various fractions of that speed.

There are multiple [[Wii Hardware/Hollywood/Revisions|revisions]] of the Hollywood SoC with different functionality.

* A new [[Wii Hardware/Drive Interface|Wii Drive Interface]] replacing the legacy [[GameCube Hardware/Drive Interface|GameCube Drive Interface]]
* The [[Hardware/GX|GX]] GPU from ArtX, based on the same GX core in the [[Flipper]] SoC, running @ SoC clock
* An audio [[DSP]] by Macronix @ 1/2 chipset clock
* All of the legacy Flipper interfaces, like [[Hardware/Audio Interface|AI]], [[Hardware/Serial Interface|SI]], [[Hardware/Expansion Interface|EXI]], and so on.
