Compatibility

With the mainline Wii-Linux kernel the Wii Remote will connect automatically when pressing a button, if it was previously paired to this console under official software. It binds using the official hid-wiimote driver, same as it does on a PC. It can be used under X11 using Xwiimote.

NPLL connects to Wii Remotes like other official and homebrew software does. That is: it automatically fast-reconnects any known Wii Remotes, which should work if they were already connected just-before starting NPLL, and they can also be connected manually be a pressing a button.
