The GameCube Memory Card is a proprietary device that plugs into the memory card slots (the EXI bus), and exposes a small amount of flash storage. They use a custom filesystem and communication protocol. Their primary intended purpose is storing game save files for GameCube games.

Compatibility

[edit]

GameCube Memory Cards are not compatible with Wii-Linux. They can be detected, but no driver exists for interfacing with them, nor for their filesystem. Even if they could be, it would not be very useful, as the cards contain an incredibly small amount of storage, and said storage is very slow.
